Cookies & Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting Girl Cafe Gun Wiki! This article will describe to you how and when we collect your information, as well as how your information is being processed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us using information below.

Who we are

The Girl Cafe Gun Wiki is organized and built as a joint project of LoliWorks (previously C86 Academic) and Bilibili. The service provider is GCG.moe alone and your privacy is with GCG.moe of LoliWorks instead of bilibili.

Our domain is girlcafegun.wiki. Our old domain of gcgwiki.com has been/will be dropped in July 2023. However, we may also utilise several subdomains to provide you better services.

Cookies

When you visit, an automatic analytics system will generate two batches of first-party cookies to help us identify you in a non-personal identifying way, and this cookie will not share with other sites, even those of ours.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles and functions on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, CAPTCHA etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Security & Analytics

Your visits may be recorded in an anonymous way to help us identify malicious requests. Such records will contain following information:

  • Your IP addresses, with only the first and last quarter recorded.
  • Data automatically generated from your UserAgent String.
  • Your Request URI.

After 14 days upon the collection of such information, such records will be automatically deleted and would only leave a count of pageview to help us improve our services and focus more on information more visitors need.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

However, if it is legally required for us to share your data with authorities, we may need to comply with applicable law.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have submitted a clan for listing, your clan’s information will be kept for at most 21 days based upon the type of listing you have selected. After the listing period is ended, your clan’s data would be deleted from our servers.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

All website logs, regardless personal-identifying or not, will be deleted upon 14 days of collection unless otherwise stated.

However, if it is legally required for us to retain your data for longer time, we may need to comply with applicable law.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam det We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. This site utilises caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.

Our security implementations will automatically send your IP address to a public service in an anonymous way to help us locate your ISP. Such query will not help anyone to identify you, including us.
